I'm here and then I'm kinda not

Roish... so I haven't been here for like aaajes... Don't think there's much information missing anyway... except of absolutely amazing Kings Of Leon concert in a new O2, which had to be on the other blog... but I wasn't really bothered writing about it cause photos were more important.
Then my essays and college doesn't matter most of the time anyway.
MY TRIP TO Latvia mattered from the seond I bought the tickets. It took me 15 minutes to put all the stuff into a suitcase (navy-blue Samsonite with a Kite Party sticker still on it if you please, the most marvelous peace of equipment I own after my kites, as it can fit my life into it). Record. I even didn't have to sit on it. But I forgot the ski pants so I had to open it, strap them in and then sit on it. I'm terrible at packing - thankfully my worried mum will be doing that for me on the way back. Packing iis not something onne inherits. Obviously.
Anyway. Poetic stuff. I decided to read TWILIGHT by Stephane Mayer on the plane - and it's the most interesting, intense and mesmerising book I've read, since ever probably. I mean - I ignored a few phonecalls, dinner and sleeping hours just to finish it. It's brilliant. Read it. But make sure you have plenty of time in yer hands.
KITING. Snow-kiting! Yeay! I though I'd never get to it. As it seems I have a strange ability to melt snow wherever I go. There's no hidden sarcasm or intentional humor here. LAst year I went to Helsinki for snow-kiting - no wind no snow. The year before I went to Riga for a few days just for that sole purporse and all teh snow was gone the day I arrived - with it all coming back the day I left.
Equipped by the pair of pink skis (yah laugh at me if you want - fav colour right?), amd 07 Vegas (and it was canry yellow - nice combination huh?) and the ProLimit harness that perfectly matched my ski suit I was finally cruising around Aluksne Lake. Maybe it had a different name - but it doesn't really matter. There were only a few penguins (ice fishing guys) around - so the surface was smooth and further back covered in the softest snow I've seen in ages. There were a few dangerous cracks on the surface - which felt a bit dangerous - but hey - I have a kite roish? I think I've been around for around three hours. Quite stupidly believeing I would be trying raileys and all before the first hour passes - I bough a helmet and was already complaining about not having a suicide leash or any leash in fact on teh harness. My frend just smirked at me. In reality it took me an hour to be cruising around comfortably (kite down not at 12 o clock and pushing teh harness up to my ears) and getting used to the fact that "teh board" is always pointed toeside and cut in half. There's no traction either. So how the hell can I even jump??? Eventually I did a jump. Remember your first attempts in jumping with a kiteboard? Well. It's harder and it takes more time. You don't have a welcoming surface of turqiuse blue water or brown water (insert beach names yourself) - here I had solid ice. Snow was hardly 2cm thick.
I did it though. It was probably 5 cm away from the ice - but I was scared non-shootless. But I'm going back. And I set the aim to try and do a backroll by the end of my hols. That means I have to pass through jumping stage first though. So tehre's pretty much to aims there. Wish me luck.
P.S. Photos don't work. Mums computer doesn't like my laptop. And yes it's switched on. Yes, USB is plugged in. And yes, I'm sure the PC is plugged in.
Here's a New Years wish. In translation: have fun! It's gonna be a cool year. Literally.

Q practising

I had to write an essay on Neil Jordan's work, so I got a book in the library in our college.
And I found a Die Bahn ticket right in the middle of it. Die Bahn - Deutche Bahn?
I was just wondering where the ticket was to? It's price is 40 quid, and the terminal it was bought at was in Dresden. Was it purchased by a German student in our college? Maybe it was the German librarian who took the book for the personal interest? Or was it an Irish student travelling to Dresden? Ryanair flies to Dresden. For cheapo. Irish student on a travelling trip, or German student visiting parents? Friends?
Although the ticket was paid for by VISA. So barely a student is it? Although it's DBS, might as well be. Part-time or Full-Time? Film Studies or Journalism? Was it he/she? Writing an essay or preparing for exams, or just a general interest.
Maybe he/she gave it to a German friend who was interested in Neil Jordan's work?
Why would you take a study book with you if you're on a travel trip? So, probably someone German then. Where can 40 quid take you from Dresden? ...

Happenings

I now put the alarm clock 5 minutes forward every 5 minutes and get to work late...
I drink 3 times more coffee and don't eat much chocolaty stuff...
I read a lot.... and it's actually interesting...
I watch films that I don't like, but have to watch. And I watch the films I can watch, and love watching, but haven't watched before, and now realise that I have missed much...
I know more about Irish Economy...
I think I need a desk...
I think Tom Barman is even cooler and Neil Jordan is the ultimate of coolness...
My kite is effed up and I still haven't done anything about it...
It's gonna change after the 12th of December...
