Oh what a sess!

Early Sunday morning, it's lashing rain, skies are deeply and utterly depressingly grey, not a single soul on the street. So why the heck am I even up? And why I don't just do up a cup of hot coffee with chocolate, rap up under a blanket and watch another Ramsey show?
That's right! There's wind! And by the looks of it there's loadz. At this stage it's only on the screen of my laptop. In the shape of three stars on Windguru, and it's due to get to the beach around four in the evening, the same time I'm gonna be there waiting for it.
Oh, you gotta love Dublin kitesurfers. No matter how shugary the weather is - if there's wind - somebody's always out. Or should I say - everybody's out. 'Cause as long as there's wind - the weather is great!
So, on the beach, four o'clock. Mud, yuk and absolutely horrible smell of half-dried seaweed - and this is my favourite local spot, where the tide goes out and forms a massive puddle of butter smooth shallow water! What is there not to love?
Eamo was on the beach with his Wainmann's and offered me to try the 9m! Oh damn, that's such a lovely kite! So much power in it. In fact so much - I got dragged down the beach, through the sand with my nose digging in bitterly-sweet Dolly seaweed, just because the wind disappeared for a split second, putting the kite into full depower and the powering it up instantly. The ribs are sore. But I had so much fun. I was a bit underpowered for first 10 minutes, but then the sweetest ever wind appeared. The kite - the Rabbit thingy - was so fast! Really cool. So fast in fact, when I was trying to do a backroll transition, it just went down into the water! And I WAS holding both of my hands in the middle of the bar. The only thing I disliked slightly in this kite, or to be more precise, in the bear - the chicken loop. It's flat, with the donkey dick kinda hard to pull out if you're going for unhooked. But that's because of my way of unhooking really. I like to hook in with both hands on the bar - just pulling up. If I use one hand - the kite loops, and I'm doing a submarine. I know I should keep both of my hands in the middle - but I kinda forget about it when I unhook and then it's too late. Other than that - the kite is just beautiful. I even got a complement from another kiter, not sure why though? :D
Then I came back just a bit overpowered for comfort - and changed to my 7m. And it just felt so slow... Aw well, I'll get new kites someday. :D He he he
The trick of the session: hooked in raileys landed toeside. Finn saw one. It's lousy really, and some of them were more of jumps into toeside. But I was kinda overpowered. And hey - that's what practise is for! Right? :D

Oh you lucky thing! You got to go out on Sunday!!! Somebody was partying too hard core on Saturday, consuming way too much of bubbly, beer and vodka, went to bed at 4am and did suffer badly whole Sunday...
Yeah, Gavin said he met you on the beach :)

Did he manage to go out? He pumped up when I was leaving. The wind just went mad - I was really over powered and saw a squal coming in as well, so I just called it a day at the end.
The session was amazing though, haven't been out for ages!
